"Okay, this review spans an experience that was from about May of 2011 to October 2011. I am reviewing it now as I proposed to my girlfriend (now fiance) yesterday at the end of the Geek Media Expo here in Nashville.

Since I started working at the 100 Oaks Electronics Express, I have heard dozens of radio ads for Shane Co. Originally I was going to shop for my girlfriend's engagement ring at one of the larger, more well-known, chains. However, the ads intrigued me and as my fiance (it is going to take some getting used to referring to her as that) works down the street at the Cool Springs Galleria, I decided to see what they had and what their prices were. So on one of my day's off, while she was at work, I visited their website to see what they had and how much I could expect to pay. Mind you, originally I was expecting to have to budget at most $2000 to get a nice, though not extravagant, engagement ring.

When I was able to design the exact ring I wanted for her (online product customization is a big plus for me), I was shocked to find out that I could afford a ring that would make her smile for nearly half of what I was expecting to pay.

Now it is no secret that I prefer to shop small mom-n-pop businesses whenever possible. However, though not exactly small, I was very impressed with the information available on their website and blog, not to mention the vast selection they have. Then there is the free Warranty and Lifetime Repair policy included with the purchase, regardless of what ring I got her.

When I finally went in to start the ball rolling on getting the ring, I was helped by Matt, an awesome sales associate, who helped me find exactly what I was looking for based on what I found online. Yet, he also showed me diamonds and rings that were at an affordable price-point and no pressure to buy. Helping during my subsequent visits he walked me through the process of setting up one of the most hassle free layaways I have ever used. And during one of my visits to pay towards the ring, he even cleaned my college ring for free, which impressed me as it was definitely not made by Shane Co.

In the end it was a wonderful buying experience, to which I would recommend for anyone without a second thought. Also, it is a big plus that everyone loves the ring I picked out for my fiance, most importantly her..."
